Music Info & Requests
We've added some music from our high school days to our Site that plays in the background if your computer's setup allows. (iPads don't work, we've noticed-sorry) Once you've looked at the play list that pops up, if you have a particular favorite tune of yours that isn't yet included and you'd like it to be, use the Music Request input space at the bottom of this page.
When you first land on the Home Page, a 'listen to music' or 'don't listen' dialog box should appear. If you click, 'listen,' on Windows PCs a separate MP3 Player popup window should appear and music should play from our '70s Mix list. You can:
- Stop the music by clicking the close box "x" on the MP3 player.
- Click on a different tune of your choice from the list in the MP3 player popup window (the MP3 Player might be behind your current active browser window.)
- Get a new randomly selected tune by clicking on the 'Click here to listen' link similar to the one immediately below, usually near the bottom of Site pages.
We'll try to accomodate your requests. We're trying to keep it to a maximum of two tunes per band/artist, and limiting them to Top 100s for 1970-1973. We tried to upload "Stairway to Heaven" and Traffic's "Glad," but they wouldn't work-perhaps they're copy protected or something. Sorry about that-if someone wants to email mp3 files for uploads, use highland73slc@yahoo.com - thanks. Thanks to the following classmates who requested the tunes listed:
- Steve Hooker: Emerson Lake and Palmer - any - we added "From the Beginning"
- Mark Godding: Marvin Gaye - "What's Going on?"
- Mike Holloway: John Denver - "Rocky Mountain High"
- Dave Croft: Elton John - "Crocodile Rock"
- Darol Wagstaff: Eagles - "Take It Easy"
- Darol Wagstaff: a bunch of others: Santana, Stevie Wonder, Rolling Stones, Doobie Bros., Edgar Winter Group, Roberta Flack, Bill Withers - thanks, D!
- Wendy Beutler (Holmes): Yes - "Roundabout"
- Kenneth Chapman: The Who "Baba O'Riley"
- Steve Brown: The Hollies "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother, Chicago "Colour My World"
